After 26 minutes, 詹俊 á Bø made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Venécia-ES's Robinho de Salles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Luís Gustavo Botelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Venécia-ES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when 詹俊 á Bø got free with Robinho de Salles in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Zé Carlos Dias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Robinho de Salles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 詹俊 á Bø stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Gustavo Botelho could shoot a difficult shot in the 50th minute, which Luiz Paulo Mazza however easily saved by the left post. Luiz Paulo Mazza made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Natã Quintal sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 61st minute of play forced Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Robinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Robinho de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robinho de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Wellington Phoenix's Luiz Paulo Mazza got control of the ball when Natã Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robinho de Salles came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's 詹俊 á Bø. But to his dismay, 詹俊 á Bø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. 87 minutes into the game, 詹俊 á Bø cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Robinho de Salles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Tavares in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Tavares in the 95th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Wellington Phoenix were victorious despite being under pressure from Nova Venécia-ES for much of the match.
