Ma Kuan Yun took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Epaminondas Baba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 15 minutes, Ma Kuan Yun made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. SOL's Abel Novaes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Ma Kuan Yun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Novaes. SOL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ma Kuan Yun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 22nd minute, Ma Kuan Yun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Novaes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The Batalhão do Peçanha fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Batalhão do Peçanha's Ma Kuan Yun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute, Ma Kuan Yun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Novaes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Abel Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Kuan Yun in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Batalhão do Peçanha got a corner. SOL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vânderson Vasconcelos ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 42nd minute, Ma Kuan Yun made a precise shot to the right of Abel Novaes. SOL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ma Kuan Yun in the 53rd minute of play forced SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ma Kuan Yun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Novaes having to make a save. Abel Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ma Kuan Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Abel Novaes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Batalhão do Peçanha's Ma Kuan Yun shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-11 in the ordered_time% minute. Epaminondas Baba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Batalhão do Peçanha's Ma Kuan Yun got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ma Kuan Yun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Guedes in the 73rd minute of play. 0-13 became the score in the 74th minute when Ma Kuan Yun elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Ma Kuan Yun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batalhão do Peçanha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. 90 minutes into the match, Ma Kuan Yun notched a goal, 0-17, to the right of SOL's Abel Novaes. Abel Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Batalhão do Peçanha's Epaminondas Baba got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
