Vila Nova FC's Fiori Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Gaúcho in the 4th minute of play. Bernd Goldsche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Postelnicescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Mete Nared ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd Goldsche was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Luca Postelnicescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Academia Militar MZ's Bernd Goldsche got control of the ball when Mete Nared tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Pedrão Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Postelnicescu came free, but Bernd Goldsche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme de Carvalho. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luca Postelnicescu to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Mete Nared put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernd Goldsche. A collision led to Academia Militar MZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Diamantino Magalhães hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Luca Postelnicescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernd Goldsche showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner. Luca Postelnicescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Luca Postelnicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Valle hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Mete Nared ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd Goldsche was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 69th minute, Mete Nared got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernd Goldsche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luca Postelnicescu's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Luca Postelnicescu put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernd Goldsche. Luca Postelnicescu took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernd Goldsche. Bernd Goldsche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Bernd Goldsche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Postelnicescu in the 86th minute of the match. Bernd Goldsche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mete Nared went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, Luca Postelnicescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd Goldsche was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. There was no doubt that Vila Nova FC were the better team. Vila Nova FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
