Sipo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Décio Messias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fiori Mota. The goal made the score 1-1. Genílson Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Postelnicescu in the 17th minute of the match. Vila Nova FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luca Postelnicescu in the 18th minute. A nice corner shot did that Mete Nared got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Genílson Gaspar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 25 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Messias came free, but Fiori Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Sipo EC's Décio Messias made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fiori Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Postelnicescu to make the kick off. Genílson Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lara in the 60th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Décio Messias. After 62 minutes, Yaser Osmanlıoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sipo EC and the Vila Nova FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Genílson Gaspar saved Luca Postelnicescu's penalty kick. In the 63rd minute, Luca Postelnicescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genílson Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. With an all-out effort, Vila Nova FC's Genílson Gaspar threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Postelnicescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 67 minutes Sipo EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luca Postelnicescu who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Vila Nova FC's Luca Postelnicescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Genílson Gaspar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mete Nared's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Genílson Gaspar firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Vladimir Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Gaspar was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 83rd match minute, Sipo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Rosado to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Vila Nova FC's protests and gave Leonardo Giroud a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Leonardo Giroud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match José Paulo Prata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiori Mota skillfully saved the ball. Mete Nared could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Genílson Gaspar made a huge save. Vila Nova FC played a much better game than Sipo EC and deserved their victory. The Sipo EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
