But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Falcão couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Gilmar Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Botafogo MZRJ's Gilmar Couto in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 26 minutes, Gilmar Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilmar Couto came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Igor Taffarel could save by the left post. In the 29th minute, Gilmar Couto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Igor Taffarel. The goal made the score 1-0. Férid Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Dal Bello in the 33rd minute of the match. Férid Khalifa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Dal Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Dal 3ello's Felipe Dal Bello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Férid Khalifa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Felipe Dal Bello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Férid Khalifa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felipe Dal Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Férid Khalifa having to interfere. Álvaro Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Férid Khalifa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Dal Bello went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Dal Bello came free, but Férid Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Davi Dal Bello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dal 3ello fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Férid Khalifa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hugo Lamonica showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 68 minute of play. Jailson Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
