The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Acácio Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Carvalho in the 10th minute of play forced BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's goalkeeper Ata Necmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ata Necmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Carvalho in the 10th minute of play. Acácio Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Geovânio Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If David Aiach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Aiach in the 28th minute of play. The corner led Olímpico FC's Agnaldo Carneiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Ata Necmi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Acácio Tinoco in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olímpico FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute David Aiach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ata Necmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovânio Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Acácio Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER booed when Olímpico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 49 minutes into the match, Olímpico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Tasso came free, but Geovânio Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Tinoco to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Capixaba in the 54th minute of play forced Olímpico FC's goalkeeper Geovânio Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrianinho Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Geovânio Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Capixaba in the 58th minute of play forced Olímpico FC's goalkeeper Geovânio Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Olímpico FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jailson Tasso took the corner. David Aiach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ata Necmi having to make a save. If Abel Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Acácio Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovânio Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Olímpico FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Agnaldo Carneiro hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Adrianinho Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Capixaba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Hoffmann. Olímpico FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrianinho Capixaba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 83rd minute, Acácio Tinoco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 86th minute Adrianinho Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Aiach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Váldson Vides. 97 minutes into the match, Olímpico FC's Alan Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ata Necmi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Olímpico FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
