In the 7th minute of the match, Augusto Saldanha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Amadeo Rufo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Geovânio Vidal got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Augusto Saldanha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amadeo Rufo, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Songurbey Şahsuvar came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Rufo made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Augusto Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Jamey Hankins might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Rufo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamey Hankins ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 33 in the game by Augusto Saldanha from a close distance when the talented Amadeo Rufo managed to make a qualified save. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's players were relieved. In the 40th minute, Songurbey Şahsuvar made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Cunha. Gracie Barra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gracie Barra's attentive Roland Danielsson managed to snatch the ball when Marvin Granados made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edin Džeko to strike the kick off in the second half. Songurbey Şahsuvar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo de Queirós scored 3-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeo Rufo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Augusto Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeo Rufo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Augusto Saldanha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Rufo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Shi Yi Xi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gracie Barra's Ke Feng Zhen was substituted for Augusto Saldanha. Gracie Barra's Jago Štriker was substituted for Hugo de Queirós. Amadeo Rufo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ke Feng Zhen in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ke Feng Zhen in the 72nd minute of play forced Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Rufo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ke Feng Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Murphey Shipman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Amadeo Rufo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jago Štriker spun around in front of the goal 77 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Régis Mello was substituted for Mateo Mihajlovič. After having played for 83 minutes, Jago Štriker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gracie Barra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jago Štriker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Gracie Barra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jago Štriker to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Rufo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murphey Shipman's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Dário Goiano. Amadeo Rufo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Velloso in the 92nd minute of the match. Amadeo Rufo came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Gracie Barra's Jago Štriker. But to his dismay, Jago Štriker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1.
