Wilton Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiaguinho da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to TAQUARI FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ernani Souto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Vale in the 44th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 48th minute of the match TAQUARI FC got a corner. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernard Letourneau ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Rodrigues made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Flávio Matos got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Claudinho Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xapetuba Futebol Clube's protests and gave Claudinho Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Tiaguinho da Cunha had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Wilton Vale's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rodolfo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Paraíba in the 61st minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Jacinto Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Claudinho Duarte was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. TAQUARI FC made a substitution. Giannis Karagiotis replaced Valer Covaliu. 74 minutes into the game, Adriano Rodrigues threw the ball into play from the sideline. TAQUARI FC's Frank Lampard quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wilton Vale took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho da Cunha. After a rather tough play, TAQUARI FC's Erasmo Gaspar got a free kick in the 80th minute. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva was substituted for Jacinto Paraíba. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Neiva in the 83rd minute of play. TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton Vale's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Patrick Neiva took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolfo Salgado. Rodolfo Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 94 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Neiva came free, but Rodolfo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TAQUARI FC's Igor Tinoco got a free kick in the 94th minute. TAQUARI FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
