With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Xapetuba Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Remo de Almeida was slow to take the kick. During this time Maragassume AD - CIMZ's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Sergiu Râznicu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cauan de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 21st minute of the match. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's attentive Zafer Yavuzhan managed to snatch the ball when Frédson Chaves made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. With a little luck, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Tiaguinho da Cunha got control of the ball when Ronaldão Sanches tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Maragassume AD - CIMZ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. João Carlos Cunha hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Flávio Matos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 43rd minute Jacinto Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's João Carlos Cunha got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 48 played minutes Maragassume AD - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Cunha.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldão Sanches was the one to do the kick off. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Amaral in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 minutes, Jarbas da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xapetuba Futebol Clube and the Maragassume AD - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Sanches in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiaguinho da Cunha saved Xapetuba Futebol Clube from getting behind. Tiaguinho da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Râznicu's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ronaldão Sanches took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiaguinho da Cunha. Tiaguinho da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jacinto Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Zafer Yavuzhan put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Xapetuba Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Xapetuba Futebol Clube:s Tiaguinho da Cunha showed great skill when he stopped Aníbal Amaral:s penalty. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Jacinto Paraíba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergiu Râznicu couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cauan de Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Cauan de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
