PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 19th minute of play. If Bennvar Caddick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th play minute Wilton Vale came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised John Osomo. 1-0. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Björkdahl in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the TAQUARI FC defense, Bennvar Caddick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Salgado. The TAQUARI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Salgado should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilton Vale made a kick off. John Osomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennvar Caddick in the 54th minute of play. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernard Letourneau was slow to take the kick. During this time TAQUARI FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Denílson Abreu hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's Bernard Letourneau broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Egemen Aldemir got a free kick in the 68th minute. Wilton Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John Osomo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. TAQUARI FC's Erasmo Gaspar was substituted for Ernani Souto. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Bruno do Vale was substituted for Clarence Seedorf. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Ademar Rodrigues was substituted for Bennvar Caddick. TAQUARI FC's Yoel Alfaro was substituted for Bernard Letourneau. In the 77th minute PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ were awarded a corner. Sandro Mandrak went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Bruno do Vale getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Bruno do Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Sandro Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Ademar Rodrigues quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joakim Felin, made in the 82nd minute of the game. After having played for 87 minutes, Örjan Björkdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Björkdahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Örjan Björkdahl sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's zone, Wilton Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Osomo came out of the goal and Wilton Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erasmo Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
