Nilson Dracena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Pitta. Válter Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Salles in the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Mário Medeiros got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nilson Dracena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of SUPERSTAR - DMZ booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Válter Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio do Valle in the 30th minute of play. Nilson Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, SE Palmeiras's Christiano Baiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Válter Rosado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Augusto Senna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nilson Dracena. That made the score 2-2 after 38 minutes of play. Mário Medeiros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nilson Dracena firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 44th match minute, SE Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Augusto Senna made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano Baiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Válter Rosado. That made the score 2-3 in the 58 minute of play. Wellington Donatello hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of SUPERSTAR - DMZ booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Aparecido didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Medeiros came free, but Nilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Décio Peixoto got a free kick in the 70th minute. SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Guerra in the 72nd minute of play. Válter Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio do Valle in the 73rd minute. A well done corner resulted in João Vítor de Almeida drilling the ball in to score 2-4 behind SUPERSTAR - DMZ's goalkeeper. In the 79th match minute, SUPERSTAR - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Cearense to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's goalkeeper Válter Rosado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio do Valle. In the 81st minute, Samuca Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 minutes of play, SE Palmeiras's Basílio do Valle made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válter Rosado was left in no man's land by his defense there! SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Guerra in the 87th minute of play. After 92 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Pitta. SE Palmeiras's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
