The throw-in from Eliézer de Queirós in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Corinthians's Leopoldo Palmeira. Jaime Almeida came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Jailson Barral. But to his dismay, Jailson Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Barral came free, but Jaime Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save S O B E R A N O CIMZ from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Kiril Biradzhiev got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cristiano Messi hit a great ball. Cristiano Messi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fran Guerola having to interfere. After 37 played minutes S O B E R A N O CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer de Queirós. Corinthians's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jiang Yi Chong in the 40th minute. The corner ended in Jiang Yi Chong almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jailson Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. Jailson Barral scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaime Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th match minute, S O B E R A N O CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Ignacy Kinic charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacy Kinic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Ove Lindblom was substituted for Leif-Eric St. Juste. After 68 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Ignacy Kinic. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians's goalkeeper Jaime Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Corinthians's Cristiano Messi in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S O B E R A N O CIMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Jailson Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Jaime Almeida made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Barral in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Almeida saved Corinthians from getting behind. Jaime Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Jailson Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jailson Barral got free with Jaime Almeida in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jailson Barral struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jaime Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S O B E R A N O CIMZ. Corinthians's José Vítor Ramos was substituted for Cristiano Messi.
