Paulo Vander hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Ricki Dresager notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre. Ismael Nazario Serre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricki Dresager in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Nazario Serre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Ricki Dresager ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Nazario Serre was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Cactos booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valério Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Papunhas EC defense, Ricki Dresager kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. The Papunhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Nazario Serre should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Cactos's Ricki Dresager sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Nazario Serre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricki Dresager's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Bran Allison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho de Carvalho in the 37th minute of the match. Papunhas EC were furious when Vítor Sampaio was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Mario Yepes shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some careless play in the Papunhas EC defense, Ricki Dresager kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. The Papunhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Nazario Serre should have stopped the shot.

57 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurinho Trezeguet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricki Dresager got free with Ismael Nazario Serre in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricki Dresager in the 60th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bran Allison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Matorin in the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when Cactos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Valström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Jonatan Valström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Matorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Nazario Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricki Dresager, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Ricki Dresager had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. Papunhas EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricki Dresager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 84 minutes of play, Cactos's Carl Beck made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Nazario Serre was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre got control of the ball when Ricki Dresager tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismael Nazario Serre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricki Dresager in the 90th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cactos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
