Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pang Yang Yong in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paulo Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cido de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Flying Dutch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Vila Industrial FC's César Boldrini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido de Medeiros in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Diniz in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Romero saved Flying Dutch from getting behind. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido de Medeiros in the 44th minute of play forced Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper César Boldrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo Romero came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Industrial FC's Enrique Leite. But to his dismay, Enrique Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niceto Xacintu to strike the kick off in the second half. César Boldrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido de Medeiros in the 51st minute of play. Flying Dutch's Luís Paulo Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Flying Dutch from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute Enrique Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Paulo Romero didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vila Industrial FC's Enrique Leite shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Vila Industrial FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
