Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Durval Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niva Bellido in the 11th minute of play. Durval Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niva Bellido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clóvis Guerra made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vicente Higuera. Ubaldo Maillard made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Clóvis Guerra. Niva Bellido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Messias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Thiago Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a huge save. The supporters of Romando Futebol Clube booed when Coritiba Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Juninho Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 胡亦旭's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Durval Messias came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Romando Futebol Clube's Niva Bellido. But to his dismay, Niva Bellido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niva Bellido made a kick off. Lionel Messi came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Durval Messias could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Caetano Guerreiro got a free kick in the 60th minute. Pedrinho Godoi hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Durval Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 胡亦旭 in the 72nd minute of play. 胡亦旭 kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Garro came free, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Garro in the 82nd minute of play.
