In the 8th minute Alexsandro Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Machado in the 11th minute of play. Thiago Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Murilo Ferreira made a huge save. Durval Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Dias in the 20th minute of the match. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Durval Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo da Fonseca in the 25th minute of play. From a short distance, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado, in the 27th minute, tried to place the ball behind Murilo Ferreira, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. In the 27thth minute of the game Thiago Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Thiago Machado put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Murilo Ferreira. In the 31st minute Vito Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Guerreiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Dias in the 34th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Durval Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murilo Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Thiago Machado sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes Buritama Sports's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thor Machado who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado to fire away a dangerous shot which Murilo Ferreira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murilo Ferreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Durval Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Buritama Sports made a substitution. Doriva Souto replaced Ricardo Dias. In the 58th minute of the match Coritiba Foot Ball Club got a corner. Buritama Sports's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thor Machado ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Thor Machado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Murilo Ferreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Murilo Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Machado in the 68th minute of the match. Murilo Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrinho Godoi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Cacá Britovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
