New Loser FC's Janar Lehismets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Massa in the 5th minute of play. Janar Lehismets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobbo Breitner, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Laureano Amato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Mello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute New Loser FC were awarded a corner. Vito Melo went to the cornerflag to take it. Rogério Mello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laureano Amato went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Isaltino Fonseca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Janar Lehismets skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's goalkeeper Rogério Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaltino Fonseca got free with Janar Lehismets in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Janar Lehismets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobbo Breitner, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Rogério Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Viña in the 33rd minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's goalie and right to Laureano Amato. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 42 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Massa came free, but Janar Lehismets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Nascidos Para Jogar F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Leme to maneuver through the defense. When Vito Melo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the New Loser FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Melo couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaltino Fonseca to make the kick off. Marcel Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Isaltino Fonseca in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The corner led Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Cícero Lopes to fire away a dangerous shot which Janar Lehismets despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Janar Lehismets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobbo Breitner, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Egídio Gonçalves hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Alexandre Carvalho got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Laureano Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janar Lehismets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobbo Breitner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Carvalho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rogério Mello came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandre Carvalho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 81st minute. New Loser FC's Afonsinho Negri was substituted for Laureano Amato. New Loser FC made a substitution. César Bittencourt replaced Matias Viña. Janar Lehismets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobbo Breitner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Afonsinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Mello made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Afonsinho Negri sent off a good shot on target. Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Isaltino Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The New Loser FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing New Loser FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
