The supporters of Petardo Futebol e Surf booed when Maverick Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wit Chuchro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jefferson Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Petardo Futebol e Surf's goal looked a bit too open when Wit Chuchro came free, but Flavio Silviano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Maverick Futebol Clube got a corner. Petardo Futebol e Surf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Deivid Goiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Deivid Goiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Petardo Futebol e Surf's Flavio Silviano did a great save. In the 17th minute, Wit Chuchro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jefferson Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Paraíba was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jefferson Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Neves in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Silviano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jefferson Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edinho Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Silviano. Petardo Futebol e Surf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Telmo Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Edinho Paraíba made a huge save. In the 33rd match minute, Petardo Futebol e Surf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Utfal to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Deivid Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Silviano was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 39 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sherlock Holmes. If Jefferson Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sherlock Holmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sherlock Holmes struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Flavio Silviano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maverick Futebol Clube.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Petardo Futebol e Surf getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Moisés Madureira hit a great ball. After 52 minutes, Tomás das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petardo Futebol e Surf and the Maverick Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Maverick Futebol Clube's Deivid Goiano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Flavio Silviano. Flavio Silviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Wit Chuchro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. In the 58th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Chuchro to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Paraíba having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Donato came free, but Edinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sherlock Holmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes of play, Petardo Futebol e Surf's Jefferson Donato made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Paraíba was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sherlock Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeremias Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sherlock Holmes got free with Flavio Silviano in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Tawfiq Ajram got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Silviano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 90 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's Reynaldo Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Silviano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
