An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Germano Pernambucano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gaston Bitze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Intxixu Porregimon having to make a save. Intxixu Porregimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Bitze in the 18th minute of play. Intxixu Porregimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Bitze, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anaia Barba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes FC BARCELONA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldinho Romero who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yusuf Ziya Ruhittin in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Intxixu Porregimon saved Mexilhão F. C. from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Pernambucano came free, but Ian Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Intxixu Porregimon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC BARCELONA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
