After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ingemar Kilman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fluminense DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Kilman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute Krakaca Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlisle Schultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Kilman in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carlos Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Fernandes in the 12th minute of play forced Fluminense DF's goalkeeper Carlisle Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Fernandes came free, but Carlisle Schultz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krakaca Neto in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlisle Schultz saved Fluminense DF from getting behind. Fluminense DF's Ingemar Kilman got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlisle Schultz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Krakaca Neto's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Futuros FC's goalkeeper João Carlos Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's Ingemar Kilman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Carlos Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, Fluminense DF's Ingemar Kilman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Carlos Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlisle Schultz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Beto Smith kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlisle Schultz. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Futuros FC's zone, Ingemar Kilman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Andrade came out of the goal and Ingemar Kilman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Futuros FC's Krakaca Neto in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fluminense DF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute Ingemar Kilman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingemar Kilman made a kick off. The supporters of Fluminense DF booed when Futuros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fluminense DF's Ingemar Kilman got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Fluminense DF's Ingemar Kilman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Carlos Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fluminense DF's Carlisle Schultz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Xun Kang in the 70th minute of play. When Ingemar Kilman came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Fluminense DF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingemar Kilman couldn't finish the play. Fluminense DF's Prudencio Goiz was substituted for Ingemar Kilman. In the 76th minute, Lucas Hernández hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the game, Fluminense DF's Prudencio Goiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Carlos Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Futuros FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fluminense DF's performance. The match ended with a win for Fluminense DF.
