In the 28th minute Sebastião Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Constancio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Chico Santana seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Chico Santana the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Beto Martini MZ 20 years protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Chico Santana had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Hernan Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Goiano in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Goiano in the 39th minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Hernan Constancio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jochen Gijselinx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ixidor Lelerre made a huge save. Olinda FMZ DMZ's Clemente Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Erasmo Sanches sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Hernan Constancio didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55th match minute, Beto Martini MZ 20 years was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Przebendowski to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Erasmo Sanches from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Hernan Constancio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sebastião Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Hernan Constancio made a huge save. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Hernan Constancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Raymon in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Olinda FMZ DMZ booed when Beto Martini MZ 20 years was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Gijselinx didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Perez got free with Hernan Constancio in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Paulo José Bittencourt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernan Constancio, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Raymon in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Constancio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 83 minutes, Jochen Gijselinx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jochen Gijselinx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Raimundo Raymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vello Pontuss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Olinda FMZ DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olinda FMZ DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
