Serafim Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitinho Gaspar. Lidice's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The long shot by Zé Carlos Moreno in the 11th minute really tested Bruninho Vaz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bruninho Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Van Hoeyvelt in the 12th minute. Vitinho Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Troiano in the 15th minute of play. SC Bertioga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Serafim Queiroz in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Zé Carlos Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lidice's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lidice were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after SC Bertioga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Carlos Moreno took the corner. The corner led Lidice's Zé Carlos Moreno to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruninho Vaz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gildo de Lima sped through Lidice's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vitinho Gaspar. Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Troiano in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to SC Bertioga getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Nertil Maldini hit a great ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Gildo de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vitinho Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Elg in the 35th minute of play. SC Bertioga's Bruninho Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SC Bertioga from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Lidice's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Pombal came free, but Vitinho Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Cristian Drăgănoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Kvarnström to strike the kick off in the second half. Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Lidice from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Alf Elg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Lidice's goalkeeper Vitinho Gaspar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gildo de Lima. Vitinho Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alf Elg's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alf Elg in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st match minute, Lidice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Kvarnström came free, but Bruninho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Lidice booed when SC Bertioga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball.
