The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Sergipano in the 7th minute of play forced Excelência de Luxe's goalkeeper Vítor Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Mandrak made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Gustavo Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Excelência de Luxe's Rafinha da Silveira got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Sergipano in the 12th minute of play forced Excelência de Luxe's goalkeeper Vítor Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laerte Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vítor Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, IGUIPORÃ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo Custódio came free, but Carlos Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of IGUIPORÃ FC's goalie and right to Dieguinho Vinhas. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. IGUIPORÃ FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 40th minute João Adolfo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Sergipano to make the kick off. Excelência de Luxe's Laerte Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Mandrak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from He Shi Yu went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Vítor Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Chaves in the 56th minute of play. Jacinto Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Danél Iriart came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the IGUIPORÃ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danél Iriart couldn't finish the play. Vítor Mandrak came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by IGUIPORÃ FC's Eric Hjortsberg. But to his dismay, Eric Hjortsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Vítor Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Goiano in the 75th minute of the match. Carlos Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Gustavo Custódio's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Danél Iriart got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to IGUIPORÃ FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Danél Iriart hit a great ball. After 92 minutes, Eric Hjortsberg made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Excelência de Luxe's Vítor Mandrak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. IGUIPORÃ FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
