Corti's Olavo Cavalcante suffered a sprained foot after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Corti's Benigno Esiquio was substituted for Olavo Cavalcante. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. William Angelsø hit a great ball. Manuel Alves made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Angelo Loyola sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Izaltina FAD were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benito Lain was slow to take the kick. During this time Izaltina FAD's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Leandro Sugar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ulisses Souza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Matías Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ulisses Souza made a huge save. With a little luck, Corti's Ulisses Souza got control of the ball when William Angelsø tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's Well-Well Waack sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulisses Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Angelsø in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulisses Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the game, William Angelsø recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ulisses Souza. William Angelsø showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The supporters of Corti booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Gribfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 played minutes, Corti's Sidnei Correia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Corti reached it. Izaltina FAD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
