Sylwester Marajda struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Valdomiro Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio 20 Julho. 10 minutes into the game, Nicolas Espiridion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hudson Motta. Nicolas Espiridion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Valdomiro Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Nóbrega in the 19th minute of play. Hudson Motta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Modesto Atarratze went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Rogério Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Leonardo de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montalcino SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Hudson Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Espiridion in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's Wellington Nóbrega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdomiro Ferraz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Menios Kefalos lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.

Grêmio 20 Julho's Jânio Pires was substituted for Qiu Zhen Guang. The wind increased when Valdemar de Amaral made the kick off in the second half. Wellington Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Kléber Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montalcino SE's Válter Cearense was substituted for Almir Valadares. After 69 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Borges. In the 72nd minute, Perivaldo Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montalcino SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. With a little luck, Montalcino SE's Valdomiro Ferraz got control of the ball when Gilmar Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Paiva in the 78th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Hudson Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Hudson Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perivaldo Paiva in the 83rd minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Montalcino SE's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar de Amaral came free, but Valdomiro Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Valdemar de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montalcino SE's Perivaldo Paiva got a free kick in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montalcino SE had won after a very even match.
