Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Valdemar de Amaral made the kick off and thus started the match. 2 minutes into the match, Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Afonso Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Téo Pires. In the 4th minute, Valdemar de Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio 20 Julho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Durval Nunes's late challenge caught a Grêmio 20 Julho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durval Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Durval Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hudson Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Marcelo Mangueira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Grêmio 20 Julho's Hudson Motta. Hudson Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grêmio 20 Julho's Hudson Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Omar in the 19th minute of play. Hudson Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Omar in the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar Romero got free with Afonso Vargas in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Pernambucano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonso Vargas. Zé Carlos Pernambucano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Afonso Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Romero in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute Téo Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Grêmio 20 Julho booed when Brazil Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Vargas having to interfere. Gildo Braga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. A collision led to Brazil Academy getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Joélson Barbosa hit a great ball. Humberto Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Brazil Academy's Afonso Vargas got control of the ball when Gilmar Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilmar Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Afonso Vargas made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Amaral made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Amaral came free, but Hudson Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brazil Academy's Afonso Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiu Zhen Guang in the 56th minute of play. Afonso Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brazil Academy's Célio Dante got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute, Brazil Academy's Marcelo Mangueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hudson Motta. Hudson Motta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Grêmio 20 Julho made a substitution. Jânio Pires replaced Qiu Zhen Guang. Grêmio 20 Julho's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Humberto Soeiro in the 69th minute. A nice corner shot did that Humberto Soeiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Afonso Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Grêmio 20 Julho's Zé Carlos Pernambucano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Célio Dante, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Afonso Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Grêmio 20 Julho's Hudson Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mangueira in the 79th minute of play. Brazil Academy were furious when Dino Senna was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Brazil Academy getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dino Senna hit a great ball. Afonso Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Soeiro in the 82nd minute of the match. Brazil Academy's Afonso Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Romero in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Wellington Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio 20 Julho and the Brazil Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Grêmio 20 Julho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Hudson Motta, was totally fooled by Brazil Academy's Gildo Braga, who 88 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Grêmio 20 Julho's Hudson Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mangueira in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brazil Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
