In the 6th minute Vitório Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deivid Passos in the 11th minute. Juarês Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Lago in the 16th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Best Ones fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Juarês Fantini had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Romário Barbosa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 22 minutes The Best Ones's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niclas Danielsson who took care of the corner kick. Jorginho Ferreira was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Vitório Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Vitório Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Allan Varela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Allan Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Quintal in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Quintal in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the game, Deivid Passos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Varela. Deivid Passos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Allan Varela stood somewhat misplaced when Vicente Quintal came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 45 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, The Best Ones's Vicente Quintal got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Palestra do Interior defense, Alexandre Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Varela. The Palestra do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Varela should have stopped the shot. The Best Ones were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palestra do Interior for a fine match.
