The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Torreão OFF's Ezequiel Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manoel Neuer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 5 minutes into the game, Torreão OFF's Ezequiel Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manoel Neuer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 14th minute, Ezequiel Ortiz made a precise shot to the right of Manoel Neuer. Jovens Democratas MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Manoel Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaur Laving sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by David Puyol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval de Queirós in the 23rd minute of play forced Torreão OFF's goalkeeper Zézinho Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Puyol made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Elano Loureiro however managed to control. Zézinho Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobromir Zagrodny in the 26th minute of the match. Xu Li Sang struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Zézinho Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jovens Democratas MZC. 30 minutes into the game, David Puyol threw the ball into play from the sideline. Torreão OFF's Ján Griščík quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xu Li Sang in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zézinho Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Xu Li Sang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zézinho Freitas was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute of the match Jovens Democratas MZC got a corner. Torreão OFF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dobromir Zagrodny ran over to the corner to take the kick. 37 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Ortiz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer. Manoel Neuer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliseu Coelho struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Manoel Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torreão OFF. Manoel Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ruy de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Zézinho Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Laerte Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jovens Democratas MZC and the Torreão OFF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Laerte Bittencourt got a free kick in the 46th minute. Laerte Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Jovens Democratas MZC's Jozef Ilve was substituted for Xu Li Sang. After 50 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Bittencourt. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Ortiz to strike the kick off in the second half. Ezequiel Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Manoel Neuer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Neuer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Ezequiel Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Manoel Neuer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led Torreão OFF's Kaur Laving to fire away a dangerous shot which Manoel Neuer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Manoel Neuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Hazard came free, but Manoel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Jozef Ilve. Torreão OFF's Victor Aristizábal was substituted for Ezequiel Ortiz. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Marco van Basten replaced Durval de Queirós. 84 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Aristizábal came free, but Manoel Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torreão OFF were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Jovens Democratas MZC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kaur Laving took the corner. Torreão OFF's Kaur Laving was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manoel Neuer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Charles Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Marco van Basten hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Torreão OFF could leave the field as winners, despite Jovens Democratas MZC having more of the ball for most of the match.
