Júlio César was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Edson Ribeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Edson Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Edson Ribeiro took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio César. Júlio César dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Eleuterio Gaztea struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Júlio César didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Prudente. With splendid footwork Lucrețiu Grigore arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-0 by the left pole in the game's 41st minute. Grêmio Prudente's Gomesano Gatica got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Grêmio Prudente's Gomesano Gatica dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ainar Põld to strike the kick off in the second half. Frank de Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Notts County BR's corner Rodrigo Marques fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Geovanildo Silva quite easily take care of the ball. Notts County BR's Júlio César played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gomesano Gatica in the 62nd minute of play. In the 81st minute, Gomesano Gatica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Lucrețiu Grigore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Grêmio Prudente fully deserved thier win.
