Gu Zhan Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano De Bruyne, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Santista CIMZ's zone, Caetano De Bruyne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gu Zhan Wei came out of the goal and Caetano De Bruyne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gu Zhan Wei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho de Brito in the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Caetano De Bruyne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gu Zhan Wei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Academia Santista CIMZ booed when Leão de Judá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristopher Libby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Leão de Judá got a corner. Academia Santista CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesinha Pitta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gadiel Gadov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Rincón in the 75th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gadiel Gadov having to interfere.
