Oséas Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Deilmison van Basten came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the ATHLETICO PRaiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deilmison van Basten couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Matxin in the 50th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shen Quan Wei in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
