Gu Zhan Wei was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Magalhães in the 5th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deilmison van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gu Zhan Wei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deilmison van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Santista CIMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Unax Mudarra was slow to take the kick. During this time ATHLETICO PRaiano's players had a chance to rest. ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Academia Santista CIMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Unax Mudarra took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Betão Marquez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 16th minute ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner. Unax Mudarra went to the cornerflag to take it. Deilmison van Basten was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Deilmison van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gu Zhan Wei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gu Zhan Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 28 minutes, Marcelo Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Santista CIMZ and the ATHLETICO PRaiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 29th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATHLETICO PRaiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Nerio was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia Santista CIMZ's players had a chance to rest. Academia Santista CIMZ's Felipe Nerio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison van Basten in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gu Zhan Wei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gu Zhan Wei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes Academia Santista CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Unax Mudarra who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Denílson Magalhães got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gu Zhan Wei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 41st minute of the match ATHLETICO PRaiano got a corner. Academia Santista CIMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Unax Mudarra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gu Zhan Wei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deilmison van Basten went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Nerio to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gu Zhan Wei saved Academia Santista CIMZ from getting behind. Deilmison van Basten had several of the Academia Santista CIMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Gu Zhan Wei as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei got control of the ball when Deilmison van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Gu Zhan Wei managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Unax Mudarra made a great header on ATHLETICO PRaiano's corner, it was just that Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 65th match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 67th minute of play. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Heitor Maldini the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ATHLETICO PRaiano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Heitor Maldini had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in ATHLETICO PRaiano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! ATHLETICO PRaiano:s Rodriguinho Sousa showed great skill when he stopped Felipe Nerio:s penalty. 96 minutes into the game, Academia Santista CIMZ's Felipe Nerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Deilmison van Basten took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Gu Zhan Wei to make any attempt to save it. ATHLETICO PRaiano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
