With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caetano De Bruyne in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gu Zhan Wei saved Academia Santista CIMZ from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano De Bruyne. If Felipe Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25thth minute of the game Caetano De Bruyne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho de Brito in the 29th minute of play. Gu Zhan Wei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardinho de Brito went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gu Zhan Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes in the game, Caetano De Bruyne fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gu Zhan Wei having to interfere. The referee ignored Academia Santista CIMZ's protests and gave Vladimir Tande a yellow card for diving instead. Gu Zhan Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
