Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Greger Lundkvist started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 4 in the game by Paco Everett from a close distance when the talented Dale Gracey managed to make a qualified save. Disco Inferno FC's players were relieved. When Paco Everett in the 4th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Dale Gracey kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Daley Virgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Disco Inferno FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ned Mills was slow to take the kick. During this time Boroondara Milan's players had a chance to rest. Bath Boyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ike Pears, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kris Pearse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 25 minutes, Remy Neich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Disco Inferno FC and the Boroondara Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Disco Inferno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remy Neich to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Remy Neich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ned Mills recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Drake Sobczak hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Ike Pears came free, but Bath Boyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Disco Inferno FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Daley Virgin hit a great ball. Kris Pearse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dale Gracey having to make a save. After 45 minutes, Paco Everett made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Disco Inferno FC's Dale Gracey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paco Everett was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Boroondara Milan's Bath Boyce got control of the ball when Rick Quinane tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dale Gracey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Pearse in the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Kris Pearse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Gracey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Bath Boyce successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Boroondara Milan's Drake Sobczak got a free kick in the 69th minute. Dale Gracey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Pearse in the 71st minute of play. When Boroondara Milan's Paco Everett in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Disco Inferno FC's goalie prevented a goal. Disco Inferno FC's Abelardo Hustaz was substituted for Greger Lundkvist. Bath Boyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Mcmurchie in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Disco Inferno FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Daley Virgin hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Bath Boyce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ike Pears. Drake Sobczak kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Abelardo Hustaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bath Boyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bath Boyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Neich in the 88th minute of the match. Disco Inferno FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stan Mackney in the 89th minute. The corner led Disco Inferno FC's Stan Mackney to fire away a dangerous shot which Bath Boyce despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Abelardo Hustaz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Bath Boyce skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Disco Inferno FC's Ike Pears managed to work through Boroondara Milan's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ike Pears dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ike Pears kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Andres Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Stevens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Many of Disco Inferno FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Disco Inferno FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Boroondara Milan were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
