After 2 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauder Franklin. When Rafael van der Vaart came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Glasston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael van der Vaart couldn't finish the play. After 12 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Pete Stebbing. Carlton Convine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Roach in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Amputees FC's Dean Watts got control of the ball when Rafael van der Vaart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rafael van der Vaart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dean Watts was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Glasston's Tom Rheistein was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dean Watts in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Amputees FC's Dean Watts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Amputees FC from getting a goal against them. Glasston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 28th minute, Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dean Watts. Dean Watts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Glasston's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tom Rheistein in the 32nd minute. A well done corner resulted in György Németh drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Amputees FC's goalkeeper. The crowd rose to their feet as Mete Golob kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dean Watts. That made the score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. Rafael van der Vaart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carleton Howie in the 46th minute of play forced Glasston's goalkeeper Carlton Convine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Watts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael van der Vaart's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Rafael van der Vaart made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Amputees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael van der Vaart came free, but Dean Watts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Rafael van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amputees FC's Dean Watts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Carleton Howie dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlton Convine, 3-1. If Rafael van der Vaart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dean Watts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael van der Vaart, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Glasston's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
