Atlético de Caracas's Zarando Calva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Morientes in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Valhalla F.C. got a corner. Atlético de Caracas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bai Yong Yi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benicio Larez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Sotil in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Karim Morientes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valhalla F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Karim Morientes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarando Calva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Valhalla F.C.'s Karim Morientes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zarando Calva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benicio Larez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Wassenius in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Valhalla F.C.'s Karim Morientes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zarando Calva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Alley was the one to do the kick off. In the 64th minute Karim Morientes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarando Calva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valhalla F.C. made a substitution. Izel Ronaldo replaced Karim Morientes. Valhalla F.C.'s Radek Majewski was substituted for Du Fan Fei. Valhalla F.C.'s Milio Baca was substituted for Bai Yong Yi. Tom Wassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Zarando Calva came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Valhalla F.C.'s Izel Ronaldo. But to his dismay, Izel Ronaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience was convinced that Izel Ronaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zarando Calva was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After 95 minutes, Izel Ronaldo made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético de Caracas's Zarando Calva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
