The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Valle got free with Rosario Escarza in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's Leopoldo Jacinto Luque sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosario Escarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Ivo Mattos in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ríver Late's Esteban Pavon. Adam Adamski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Pombal in the 28th minute of play. Ríver Late's Adam Adamski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Pombal in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Canteranos Fc's Rosario Escarza got control of the ball when Leopoldo Jacinto Luque tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 57th minute, Ivo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Hellström during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gabriel Hellström hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Espiridion Ascot in the 62nd minute of play forced Canteranos Fc's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 75 minutes into the match, Canteranos Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Espiridion Ascot came free, but Rosario Escarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ríver Late's Ciro Egger got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Gabriel Hellström in the 79th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canteranos Fc's Johans Raigada. Rosario Escarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marián Petrov hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Luís Dias in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canteranos Fc's Jean-Yves Amand. Marián Petrov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ríver Late supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Canteranos Fc's performance. The match ended with a win for Canteranos Fc.
