Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Gleb Elkibaev started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Aleksey Braga got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Esperance's Leon Zdrojowy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Sălcudeanu in the 14th minute of play. Timur Chichko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Zdrojowy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Timur Chichko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Феникс Санкт-Петербург's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timur Chichko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruslan Shagiakhmetov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josue Ayala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gleb Sorokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Gleb Elkibaev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Postelnicu made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Egor Penkin. 35 minutes into the match, Timur Chichko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leon Zdrojowy. Esperance's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timur Chichko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goal looked a bit too open when Gleb Elkibaev came free, but Josue Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Esperance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marat Gusakov to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esperance's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aleksey Braga was slow to take the kick. During this time Феникс Санкт-Петербург's players had a chance to rest.

The wind increased when Timur Chichko made the kick off in the second half. Liu Jie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Leon Zdrojowy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timur Chichko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Esperance's Leon Zdrojowy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timur Chichko in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute of the match, Gleb Sorokin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josue Ayala was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 65 minutes into the match, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's goal looked a bit too open when Gleb Elkibaev came free, but Josue Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68th play minutes Timur Chichko shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Leon Zdrojowy and just under the crossbar into goal. Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Alexandr Berezin was substituted for Ruslan Shagiakhmetov. Timur Chichko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Zdrojowy having to make a save. If Alexandr Berezin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Gennadiy Blatun got a free kick in the 96th minute.
