When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Seggiano's Giovanni Falcone got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luponero FC's goalkeeper Eraldo Cannone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seggiano's Elia Cellucci quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anfilogino Mannucci, made in the 87th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Seggiano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
