Bianco Altobelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Jaszcz in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Donato Goiz made a precise shot to the right of Bianco Altobelli. Lupi Grigi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cristiano Bucciarelli. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederik Dams got free with Cristiano Bucciarelli in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Goiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bianco Altobelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. If Bianco Sforza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
