With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Clemente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 minutes Glasgow Rangers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armin Ascenzi who took care of the corner kick. Dave Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Della Francesca in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Sforza in the 19th minute of play forced Glasgow Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dave Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Armando Natalucci put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Enzo De Nicola. Dave Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Della Francesca, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Dave Clemente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Della Francesca in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Lauaxeta in the 57th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Enzo De Nicola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Natalucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enzo De Nicola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Glasgow Rangers FC made a substitution. Christian Sammartino replaced Felice Perna. The corner led Glasgow Rangers FC's Ettore Placidi to a score. 5-0 in the 69th minute.
