Alvaro Sanna came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Natalucci slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glasgow Rangers FC's goalkeeper Dave Clemente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Sanna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Placidi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Glasgow Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Figueiredo came free, but Dave Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Sporting Club Sicilia were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Glasgow Rangers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Nazzaro took the corner. Sporting Club Sicilia's Alvaro Sanna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Club Sicilia from getting a goal against them. When Glasgow Rangers FC's Armando Natalucci in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nestor Lauaxeta's late challenge caught a Sporting Club Sicilia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Lauaxeta helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Lauaxeta. The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Club Sicilia's Concetto De Nardis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dave Clemente. That made the score 1-1 after 59 minutes of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Wit Lampa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Club Sicilia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wit Lampa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Ettore Placidi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Sanna. Sporting Club Sicilia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ettore Placidi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Sporting Club Sicilia's Alvaro Sanna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Natalucci in the 76th minute of play. Sporting Club Sicilia's Concetto Rucci was substituted for Wit Lampa. Xie Xiang Yan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Carlo Attili scored 3-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Sanna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Rucci in the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Club Sicilia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Baddhanuraga Grybauskas hit a great ball. Sporting Club Sicilia's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Glasgow Rangers FC had won, even though Sporting Club Sicilia had held more of the ball.
