The coaching staff of Borgo Doria F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gildo Marques had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 38 minutes into the game, one of Borgo Doria F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 40 minutes Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri managed, with a little bit of luck, save Szymon Jaszyna's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Hermínio Rossi hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Di Carlo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corrado Spitaleri saved Borgo Doria F.C. from getting behind. After 78 minutes Borgo Doria F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rui Costa who took care of the corner kick. The corner led A.C. Patagonia's Amerigo Ianni to a score. 3-0 in the 78th minute.
