Enrico Albertosi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gísli Langnickel in the 20th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Gísli Langnickel made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gísli Langnickel got free with Enrico Albertosi in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute, Anselmo Fulgenzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmo Fulgenzi might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrico Albertosi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
