Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Pinti, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Pinti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Eurospeed Asti's Grant Irø ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lev Yashin. Lev Yashin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Pinti in the 18th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eurospeed Asti's goalkeeper Damiano Battisti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damiano Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Godholm in the 30th minute of the match. Longobarda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Zărnescu in the 33rd minute. The corner ended in Manuel Zărnescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti did a great save. After 34 played minutes Eurospeed Asti got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Tofani. Edwin Godholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damiano Battisti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Godholm's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes, Edwin Godholm made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Godholm in the 45th minute of play forced Eurospeed Asti's goalkeeper Damiano Battisti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwin Godholm made a kick off. Longobarda's Manuel Zărnescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Francesco Cirelli, made in the 52nd minute of the game.
