In the 11th match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Kimmich to maneuver through the defense. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Trasatti in the 14th minute of play. Frits Heinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Di Massimo in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Alberto Iezzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Torelli in the 21st minute of play forced Stintino FC's goalkeeper Antonello Ranieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palestra14's Frits Heinel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra14 from getting a goal against them. Frits Heinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Petrella in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palestra14's Fausto Fioriti got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Iezzi in the 30th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Alberto Iezzi notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Palestra14's Frits Heinel. Frits Heinel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonello Ranieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Fioriti, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Palestra14 were awarded a corner. Dennis Del Vecchio went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 41st match minute, Palestra14 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Attilio Torelli to maneuver through the defense. Frits Heinel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Di Massimo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 43 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Iezzi made a kick off. If Cain Vieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dennis Del Vecchio's late challenge caught a Stintino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Del Vecchio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stintino FC booed when Palestra14 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Del Vecchio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Stintino FC's Armando Di Massimo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Arrigo Iannucci scored 4-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Heinel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra14's zone, Adriano Trasatti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frits Heinel came out of the goal and Adriano Trasatti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frits Heinel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Iezzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Attilio Torelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Fioriti in the 76th minute of play forced Stintino FC's goalkeeper Antonello Ranieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Fioriti in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Ranieri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonello Ranieri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Fioriti's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After 84 played minutes Palestra14 got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Dorigatti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Iannucci in the 87th minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cain Vieri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Palestra14's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 92 minutes Palestra14's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alvise Vittorio who took care of the corner kick. Palestra14's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
