In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Lorenzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samir Afacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Montanari in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The throw-in from Bengt-Rune Waller in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Mauro A Mare FC's Marcus Hastings. In the 56th minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, San Mauro A Mare FC's Levent Hicran made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Lorenzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! San Mauro A Mare FC's Vasco Bento was substituted for Trey Cai. Marcus Hastings hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match.
