Ni Liang Yongs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Óscar Cordobé to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd match minute, Molfetta sportiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Campo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmine Iannone in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óscar Cordobé prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Carmine Iannone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Cordobé. Orange's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmine Iannone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Molfetta sportiva's Flavio Lavatrice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Corsi in the 68th minute of play. Molfetta sportiva's Dario Melani was substituted for Cesare Di Renzo. Orange were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Molfetta sportiva's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elpidio Elequemedo took the corner. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Flavio Lavatrice successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Óscar Cordobé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Melani in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Dario Palombi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orange's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Molfetta sportiva the free kick.
