Franco Bobbio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Sessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frode Lillejord in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Amedeo Rizzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Sessa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Valerio Folle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amedeo Rizzo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Sessa. Frank Sessa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Frode Lillejord scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Sessa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amedeo Rizzo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Sessa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Amedeo Rizzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Sessa was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Phenomena's Amedeo Rizzo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Phenomena's Aldo Borrelli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Davide Cavaliere, made in the 42nd minute of the game. Frode Lillejord might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Sessa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frode Lillejord ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Frode Lillejord came free, but Frank Sessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valerio Folle struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Frank Sessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomena. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Penna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Davide Cavaliere threw the ball into play from the sideline. Phenomena's Aldo Borrelli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Dexter Morgan VR46's zone, Valerio Folle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Sessa came out of the goal and Valerio Folle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Sessa was a little too slow when Amedeo Rizzo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-4. Frank Sessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Rizzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sessa made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Pål Andersson sent off a good shot on target. Amedeo Rizzo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 67th playminute. Amedeo Rizzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Sessa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amedeo Rizzo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Frode Lillejord left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phenomena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Valerio Folle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A well placed Amedeo Rizzo short distance shot in the 80th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 86th minute, Amedeo Rizzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Sessa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Amedeo Rizzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Sessa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amedeo Rizzo ran back to his position shaking his head. Edoardo Felli hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Phenomena's Claudio Toto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Sessa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Fava in the 95th minute of play forced Phenomena's goalkeeper Ernesto Molinaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
