Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Loco Palermo started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nixon came free, but Giacomo Casanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciccio Bassani hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Michel Dijkman got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 10th minute, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Fulvio Muzzolon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova got control of the ball when Fulvio Muzzolon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodor Cãpraru made a great header on S.S.C. NAPOLI's corner, it was just that Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova managed to reach the ball for a save. A nice corner shot did that Fabrício Carmo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Giacomo Casanova quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute of the match Paolo Rossi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achille Albanesi skillfully saved the ball. If Loco Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Albanesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Achille Albanesi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Loco Palermo went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Fulvio Grande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giacomo Casanova was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Giacomo Casanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulvio Muzzolon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fulvio Grande came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the S.S.C. NAPOLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulvio Grande couldn't finish the play. When S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Sjögren in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Egil Sjögren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Achille Albanesi. S.S.C. NAPOLI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Egil Sjögren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fulvio Muzzolon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Fulvio Grande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giacomo Casanova was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 63 minutes into the game, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Fulvio Muzzolon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giacomo Casanova made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Montesacro FC made a substitution. Anthony Del Gatto replaced Paolo Rossi. 74 minutes in the game, Loco Palermo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Egil Sjögren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Achille Albanesi came out and tried to block the shot, but Egil Sjögren slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciccio Bassani in the 83rd minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Pierucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giacomo Casanova having to interfere. Giacomo Casanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Pierucci in the 87th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Montesacro FC got a freekick which was hit by Loco Palermo. The referee felt a red card was in order, 98 minutes into the game, when Abel Santo put in a rough tackle. In the 97th minute, one of S.S.C. NAPOLI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.S.C. NAPOLI. After 101 minutes, Egil Sjögren made it 3-4 with a short kick to the right side. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Achille Albanesi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montesacro FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
